Following affair allegations, Stewart issues an apology — and finally confirms her relationship with Pattinson.
Despite the fact that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s romance was one of Hollywood’s worst-kept secrets, their die-hard fans delighted in the constant “Are they or aren’t they dating?” chatter and the fact that both Stewart and Pattinson danced around confirming their relationship status to the media.

Until now, that is, thanks to an emotion-laden statement released by Stewart (see below) on Wednesday (July 25) in response to the rumors swirling about an indiscretion between the actress and her married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
Following the release of paparazzi images in which actress Kristen Stewart was photographed kissing her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, the 22-year-old has issued a public apology via People, lamenting her “momentary indiscretion” while declaring her affections for co-star boyfriend Robert Pattinson.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” she said. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

According to E! News Twilight star, Kristen Stewart,22, recently cheated on fiance Robert Pattinson, 26, with The Snow White and The Huntsman director, Sanders, 41, whom just happens to be married.

The hookup with Sanders allegedly occurred on July 17th according to the source.
Us Weekly also revealed Tuesday that it’s set to publish photographs of the two in action.
In a recent red carpet interview Sanders boosted Stewart’s many talents:
Stewart’s “got a great spirit, she’s really quite rebellious…and feisty and kind of wild, and that’s really what I wanted the modern Snow White to have.
“I didn’t want her to be timid and I didn’t want her to be frightened and relying on men, you know,” Sanders continued. “She’s very strong and very driven, and I think that’s true in her personal life…She’s got a big weight of the world on her shoulders and she carries it incredibly well.”
Stewart’s camp is in damage-control mode, with a source telling People magazine that she’s “devastated” by her betrayal of Pattinson, her boyfriend of three years.

A rep for Sanders, who is happily married and has two children, could not be reached for comment.
Stewart’s rep had no comment.
The pair met on the first Twilight set and reports began almost immediately that they were a couple.
