Follow us: @eotmonline on Twitter | EOTM.Media on Facebook

It was a tight race but Kellie Pickler overcame it all to be crowned the new Dancing With The Stars winner. In the dance competitions 16th season the stars were tasked with the usual three rounds of dancing: a judge’s pick dance, a cha-cha relay round as well as the supersized freestyle. Pickler won judges and TV audiences over with her graceful style and high-jumping jives with partner and professional dancer Derek Hough.

The singer turned dancer looked stunned when host Tom Bergeron announced that she and partner Hough were the winners.

“Oh my god,” as Bergeron congratulated her,  “this is amazing,” she said.

“I’m just going to miss spending time with Derek, he’s so fun – we’ve had so many great memories together,” she continued. Derek also felt the same way adding:

“We have, a lot of great memories.”

The pair earned two sets of perfect scores Monday night and another on Tuesday. Judges’ scores combined with viewer votes determine the winner.

Julianne Hough: I was abused ‘mentally, physically’ as a child while training in London

Dancer Julianne Hough gets candid with Cosmopolitan magazine for their February cover story and speaks about child hood abuse.

Two-time “Dancing with the Stars” winner Julianne Hough, 24, recently interviewed with Cosmopolitan and admitted to have been abused as a child while training to become a world-class dancer. The abuse happened while she was in London at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Arts.

“I was 10-years-old looking like I was 28, being a very sensual dancer. I was a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy facade because that was my job and my life. But my heart was the same, and I was this innocent little girl. I wanted so much love.”

Hough said the abuse became worse when she started hitting puberty. “When I started becoming a woman and stopped being a little girl. This is the farthest I’ve ever gotten into [discussing] my London situation. I was told if I ever went back to the United States, three things were going to happen. One: I was going to amount to nothing. Two: I was going to work at Whataburger. And three: I was going to end up a slut. So, it was like, I can’t go back. I have to be this person.”

When asked about her abuser, Hough declined to disclose…only stating:

“I’m a very forgiving person, and I don’t want to hurt anybody, what’s past is past.”

‘Dancing With the Stars: All Stars’: Melissa Rycroft named the winner

(Washington Post) In a somewhat surprising twist, reality star Melissa Rycroft was named the winner of “Dancing With the Stars: All Stars” on Tuesday night. Rycroft, who first competed three years ago in Season 8, triumphed over Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, who many thought would become the first competitor to win two seasons of the reality dance competition.

The shock was evident as confetti rained down on Melissa, who burst into tears, and her partner, Tony Dovolani, whose excited shouting was mostly bleeped out, sending the ABC censors into a frenzy.

Melissa and Tony (Adam Taylor - ABC)

“What a feel-good win,” remarked Tom Bergeron, master of understatement, as the other competitors hoisted Melissa and Tony on their shoulders to celebrate. Melissa had been the only finalist to have never won a previous season.

In third place? Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy, this season’s great showmance. Were they really dating?! Kelly and Val cleared this up: No. Sadly for everyone rooting for the couple, they are strictly in the friend zone.

Other highlights from a night that included lots of filler, including a return from all the former contestants from this all-star season:

* Bristol Palin and Pamela Anderson were paired together as “two of the most-talked about all stars in the history of the show,” according to Brooke Burke Charvet, and both performed again. Bristol showed she still struggles with dance moves as she danced with Mark Ballas. Pamela Anderson donned thigh high boots to wriggle around on stage with Tristan MacManus. “Usually to see something like that there’s a two-drink minimum,” Tom Bergeron joked after Anderson’s performance.

* ESPN’s Kenny Mayne, former NFL star and “DWTS” contestant Jerry Rice, and judge Len Goodman were back for the annual “Dance Center” segment, making fun of all the contestants. Their jokes this year? Pretty lame. Such as, Kenny: “Bristol took Mark to a gun range this year. Unfortunately, she missed.” And, Kenny: “We checked into [Shawn Johnson’s] past, we can’t find a birth certificate of her from Hawaii. No proof she’s even born there.” Jerry: “That’s because she’s from Des Moines.”

* Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya were completely upstaged by Drew’s adorable daughter, six-year-old Isabella, who joined her dad for Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” and brought down the house.

Proskins US
* Hoping to capitalize on “Gangnam Style” — officially the most-viewed YouTube video of all time — the show couldn’t resist another version of the dance. Except this time, everyone stripped down from their signature tuxedos to much skimpier outfits. (Naturally, there was another rendition of “Call Me Maybe” as well.)

* There was still one final dance for the finalists, as Kelly, Shawn and Melissa had to perform an insta-dance that they had an hour to learn. Kelly and Val drew raves for a jive and scored 28.5; Melissa and Tony received middling remarks for samba but still scored 28.5; Shawn and Derek got high praise for a cha cha and scored a perfect 30.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ sends two celebs home

Like EOTM! Online on Facebook – Follow us on Twitter

(USA Today)  9:10PM EST November 13. 2012 – “We’re all worried,” said Emmitt Smith to co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet near the start of Tuesday’s Dancing With the All-Stars double elimination results show.

That’s right —- two celebs were about to be sent packing.

Kirstie Alley was at the bottom of the leaderboard, way below everyone else. The actress, 61, definitely seemed doomed. But who else would get the boot?

Kylie Minogue kicked off the show in such a short white dress that she looked ready to take the floor for a sexy samba. But instead, she sang Locomotion, her 1988 hit.

And then came the first results. Tom Bergeron told Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson they’re going to the semifinals. No surprise there (although Monday night judge Len Goodman tried to make us think Shawn might be in trouble.)

MORE DWTS NEWS:‘Dancing With the Stars’: Kirstie Alley’s falls Short

The cast of Broadway show Newsies performed. And so did Ne-Yo, who sang his new song Let Me Love You(Until You Learn to Love Yourself).

Time for the first elimination. Kelly Monaco and partner Val Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley and partner Maks Chmerkovskiy chatted with Brooke. Said Kelly, “It’s hard to be up here with Maks and Kirstie, knowing one of us is going home.”

Kirstie, however, was optimistic. “I feel lucky. We have the best fans in the world. The opportunity to do this the second time around is nothing short of a A) a miracle, and B) sort of stunning!”

But Tom Bergeron announced that Kirstie was done. Going home. She didn’t weep. She smiled and said this season “was very special to me.” She said she “learned more about dancing.” And she added, “I want to thank Maks because he’s so patient with me.” She also thanked the judges and the fans.

Next up: Stars picked dances and themes for each for next week’s semifinals.

CyberChimps Professional WordPress Themes

Kelly and Val picked “Caveman Hustle” for Melissa and Tony Dovolani.
Emmitt And Cheryl Burke picked “Knight Rider Banghra” (Indian folk dance) for Shawn and Derek Hough.
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff picked “Mad Monk Merengue” for Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd.
Gilles and Peta then picked “Big Top Jazz” for Apolo and Karina.
Shawn and Derek picked “Espionage Lindy Hop” for Emmitt and Cheryl.
Kelly and Val were left with the “Surfer Flamenco.”

Anna Trebunskaya performed with Val Chmerkovskiy, Tiler Peck and Robert Fairchild, principal dancers from the New York City Ballet.

Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Emmitt was deemed safe, leaving Apolo and Gilles (up until last week, the highest scorer in the competition) as the final two. Both guys looked nervous.

Eliminated (gasp!): Gilles. The crowd moaned. “In the end, it’s just an incredible experience,” said Gilles. “I tried my very best. Peta was an angel out there,” he said, “and I want to thank my wife. …, Without her, I’m really nothing.”

Kate Gosselin rumored to be returning to ‘Dancing With the Stars’ for all-star season

A recent media report claims that the mother of eight could have another shot on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.

Credit: Adam Larkey/AB

“They are going to ask Kate, but hope they don’t have to use her as the cast and crew hated her,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “She would be a last resort.”

Kate Gosselin hinted to this Monday (May 21) on “Today” that her kids miss filming their TLC show, “Kate Plus 8,” and that she could  be headed back to reality television soon.

Producers for the show have yet to announce a formal lineup for the 15th season, but they have hinted that only the best will vie for the mirror ball in their first all-star competition.

Gosselin famously butted heads with her dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, during the show’s 10th season.

“There was a a lot of therapy involved,” Tony told Anderson Cooper of his experience dancing with the reality star.

What are your thoughts? Should  Kate get another run on the hit reality show?

Jaleel White Leaves the ‘DWTS’ Family

Family Matters star Jaleel White and his partner, Kym Johnson, were dismissed from the ballroom Tuesday night after losing the final dance duel of the season to Fegan and the actor’s partner, Chelsie Hightower.

The judges, who thought Fegan’s version of the rumba was better than White’s, sent the actor packing.

“It breaks my heart one of you has to go,” said judge and dance expert Len Goodman, who usually is not sentimental.

It was a difficult decision for fellow judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba as well. But they, too, chose Fegan’s dance over White’s.

“You both did very well,” Tonioli said. “We have to think.”

Inaba thought Fegan and Hightower worked better together than White and his partner Kim Johnson.

“I thought tonight you had extremely good chemistry,” Inaba told Fegan.

White said he was sad to go but happy he had made it this far in the grueling competition.

“I’m going to tell you a secret,” White said. “I only thought I would last three good dances. To get this far… I’ve made incredible friends [and the] fans are incredible.”

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Motown fun: Viagra, Smokey, Jaleel

By Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY

Motown was the theme of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars. Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and Martha Reeves (spilling out of her top and barely able to sing!) kicked off the show. Berry Gordy, legendary founder of the Motown record label, had a front row seat.

Each couple had to perform twice – a solo dance and in the cha cha dance marathon – for judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

Here’s how it went:

Gladys Knight was “really proud” to have made it to Week 6, and the Motown theme was, of course, particularly special for her. Her brother Bubba, an original Pip, visited her during rehearsal to give her some steps to add into her slow and sultry rumba, done to The Temptations singing My Girl. The audience loved it. The judges less so. Said Len, “If I could judge purely with my heart, you would be at the top of the leaderboard.” Bruno wanted it to be a bit steamier. Carrie Ann said the “hip action” was fantastic, but she did “kinda mess up” at times. Score: 7, 7, 7 = 21 + 3 = 24

Roshon Fegan had a hard time with the sensuality required for his rumba. When partner Chelsie Hightower asked him what sensual means, he said, “Huggy.” The two tried to be sexy as Smokey Robinson sang Cruisin’ and the crowd seemed to like it, even though he looked silly as he exaggerated the aggressive moves. Len said the movement was “clipped and jerky.” Bruno said his steps were more suited to hip-hop. Scores: 7, 8, 8 = 23 + 5 = 28

Melissa Gilbert seemed to struggle in rehearsal – as always with pro partner and taskmaster Maks Chmerkovskiy. But once she hit the ballroom floor she danced a lovely Viennese waltz to Smokey Robinson singing Ohh, Baby, Baby. Carrie Ann cited her artistry. Len praised her control. Bruno called her lines “beautiful.” Scores: 8, 8, 8 = 24 + 6 = 30

Maria Menounos danced an elegant but playful foxtrot with Derek Hough as Reeves, 70, belted out Jimmy Mack. Oops – Maria lost her footing at one point, slipping on the stairs just enough to put them out of sync. But it didn’t seem to matter much. Bruno said the dance combined “wit” and “elegance.” Carrie Ann said it was “excellent” but said Maria’s shoulders came up. Len said Maria was “a joy to my eyes” while Martha Reeves was “a joy to my ears.” Scores: 8, 9, 9 = 26 + 4 = 30

Donald Driver, wearing a bright blue suit, did a snazzy foxtrot with Peta Murgatroyd to The Temptations singing The Way You Do the Things You Do. Bruno loved his showmanship, saying, “You should be in the theater.” Carrie Ann “loved it all.” Len said Donald “exploded” on the floor, but urged Peta to work him harder. Scores: 9, 9, 9 = 27 + 7 = 34

William Levy turned up the heat to dance a steamy rumba with pro partner Cheryl Burke to Smokey Robinson singing Being With You. They wound up horizontal on the floor. Bruno called it “utter filth,” adding, “I loved every minute of it.” He feared women were going to jump off the balcony to get to William. Carrie Ann was less praiseworthy, saying it wasn’t his best dance. Len thought it was “a little bit on the raunchy side” and said he couldn’t “go into ecstasy like some people here.” Cracked Bruno: “He needs Viagra, sorry.” Scores: 9, 8, 10 = 27 + 9 = 36

Jaleel White put himself back at the top of the leaderboard as he and pro partner Kym Johnson danced a rocking cha cha to The Temptations singing Ain’t Too Proud to Beg. Jaleel killed it with sharp moves and plenty of attitude, singing the words through much of it. Said Len, “You’re back.” Bruno called it “the biggest sizzler of the season.” Carrie Ann said he brought his “A game.” Scores: 10, 9, 10 = 29 + 8 = 37

Credit: Adam Taylor, ABC

Katherine Jenkins, sporting a beehive, and USA TODAY blogger Mark Ballas, sporting a Gavin DeGraw-type hat, continued to dominate the dance floor. They performed a jiggling, bouncy samba as The Temptations sang I Cant Get Next To You. Len called her a “midwife” because she keeps delivering. Said Bruno: “Oh baby, baby, you can bounce!” Carrie Ann praised her funkiness. Scores: 10, 9, 10 = 29 + 10 = 39

Sherri Shepherd on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Shocking Elimination

Sherri Shepherd, a fan favorite on Dancing With The Stars was sent home Tuesday night in the most-shocking elimination of the season, she called the experience an “amazing adventure” and urged her fans to take risks and keep challenging themselves.

“If you don’t go towards the thing you fear, you won’t be able to say you lived. Even if you fail, I got voted off, I wanted the ride to continue, but I got to say, I did it,” Shepherd said today on “Good Morning America.” “The thing that you fear in your stomach … run towards it. I absolutely believe that.”

“The View” co-host, who had been a long-time fan of the ABC show and campaigned to be a contestant on season 14, said you can’t really understand “Dancing With the Stars” until you experience it yourself.

“It pushes you mentally and physically and it is a life-changing experience, I have to say,” Sheppard said. “So I have to say thank you. … I’m so grateful to God for the ride I got to take, the friendships I got to make, the people I get to keep in touch with.”

Shepherd had earned 21 points – the second-lowest score of the night – for her tango on Monday. Judges told her it wasn’t sharp enough and lacked her usual spark.

Melissa Gilbert recovering after ‘DWTS’ injury

Melissa Gilbert suffered a concussion and whiplash during Dancing With The Stars performance. After smiling for the cameras following the performance, for which the duo earned 22 points and were called the show’s “best performance by far” by one judge, Gilbert was taken from the studio to the hospital.

“(Melissa) had some concussion-like symptoms after she got her scores,” Maksim’s brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, told CNN after the show. “She was a little nauseous and dizzy, so she decided to go to the hospital.”

“She injured herself, and as a precaution she’s gone to the hospital to get checked out,” host Tom Bergeron said on air.

Maksim also fell during the routine, which Judge Len Goodman blamed on a slippery floor. Melissa and Maksim received a 22 out of a possible 30 from the three-judge panel, and the actress is now recovering.

“As a result of hitting her head during the dance [Monday], Melissa has a mild concussion and whiplash. She is at home, resting comfortably and looking forward to her next dance,” her rep shared.

“I’m alright. Mild concussion and whiplash. Very soon I will be safely home resting and being taken care of” Gilbert tweeted after being treated.

Jaleel White: ‘Dancing’ incident with Kym Johnson “exaggerated”

Jaleel White has insisted his alleged outburst at Dancing with the Stars professional partner Kym Johnson was made out to be a much bigger deal that it really was.

“It was completely exaggerated,” the actor told People following Monday night’s performance show in response to reports he ”flipped out” on Johnson for “acting like a baby” after he accidentally stepped on her foot while rehearsing on Friday.

“We go to work every day, and there is an alley full of tabloid reporters. It’s not fair to us and that’s life, and I hope people can see through it. There’s no drama in my life.”

According to Us Weekly, the fourteenth-season Dancing with the Stars participant took issue Johnson’s initial reaction to the pain and “got in her face,” shouted at her and called her an “idiot” in what turned out to be a “heated” confrontation. Johnson reportedly broke down in tears after the exchange and briefly left the studio.

We’ve Got You Covered & You’ve Got Them Covered with a Gift Card from WetsuitWearhouse.com!

White’s behavior reportedly then resulted in fellow contestant Donald Driver attempting to step in and calm him down, but White ignored Driver and continued ranting about Johnson — resulting in pro dancer Mark Ballas confronting White and the two men getting into an escalating argument which only ended when “the producers stepped in and broke it up before it got physical,” according to an Us source.

Dancing with the Stars producers reportedly banned White from the studio for the remainder of the day.

“It was a huge fiasco that went down. A total mess,” said the Us source, adding that White has now requested his own rehearsal space elsewhere.

Despite the incident, Johnson told People prior to Monday night’s performance show that she and White make a good team.

“This has been a stressful week for us, and people have stressful weeks. [Today] was horrible. I thought we got through it really well, and our dance tonight will show everyone that we really have a great connection. This is really the first week we only had four days to learn [the rumba],” Johnson explained.

White also seemed to suggest his frustration was a result of being filmed constantly and the overall stress of the competition rather than a personal issue with Johnson.

“They literally do not let you rehearse without a camera. You’re watching everything, and it’s tough. I’m a sitcom generation kid. I’m not used to all this tabloid stuff,” added White, who reportedly “started going off on producers,” blaming them for pairing him up with a “stupid” partner after Johnson took off.

Ballas also brushed off the incident with White, who is best known for his portrayal of Steve Urkel on ABC’s Family Matters sitcom, when asked about the altercation.

“These things happen. This show is a competitive show. Things get heated… This got severely twisted. We’ve been in the same room all night, and everything’s fine,” Ballas told People.

Last night’s broadcast of Dancing with the Stars did not show any footage suggesting tension existed between White and Johnson during rehearsals.

J.R. Martinez Receives Letter from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta

U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta wrote a letter to the Iraq war veteran and called him up to offer his congratulations for winning the mirror-ball trophy in last week’s finale, according to the Department of Defense.

In his letter, Panetta praised the former Army infantryman, who suffered severe burns when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq in 2003.

“Over the course of this competition, your spirit captivated the nation and your victory sends a powerful message about the strength and resilience of our wounded warriors,” he said.

Panetta also made a phone call to Martinez on Friday and said he admired how much effort the show’s performers put into each routine, according to Department of Defense spokesman Cap. John Kirby.

Martinez said he is proud to have served in uniform and credited his military training and experience for his ability to prepare for the show, Kirby added.

During the 10-minute call, Panetta also invited Martinez to the Pentagon. Plans are now in the works to arrange a meeting in the very near future, Kirby said.

Another Pentagon spokesman, Douglas Wilson, reportedly said that Martinez’s victory with Karina Smirnoff has recently been “the talk of the troops.”

Who won Dancing With The Stars 2011

The 2011 winner of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) has just been announced and, as with every season, there are mixed opinions as to whether the right person won.

Ricki Lake, JR Martinez and Rob Kardashian have been dancing their asses off over the past 10 weeks in an effort to win the coveted mirror-ball trophy but only one couple can take home gold. So, who was it?

Who Won Dancing with the Stars 2011?

As we mentioned just minutes ago, JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff won DWTS 2011. The real question is whether they belong in the ranks of Kelly Monaco, Jennifer Grey, Helio Castroneves and Nicole Scherzinger. Keep in mind, this is not only the first win for JR but also the first win for Karina – she has never won a mirror-ball trophy until tonight.

I think the answer to that question is YES!

Credit: ABC News

JR has been a true inspiration since the moment he stepped on the dance floor 10 weeks ago. He remained positive, even after enduring an injury during the semi-finals – but enduring hardship is not something JR is stranger to.

JR is a true hero and Karina is a true inspiration on the dance floor. The professional dancer put her wedding on hold so she could dedicate 100 percent of her time to winning this season. And she did it!

Now that the winner has been revealed, tell me, do you think the right person was crowned DWTS champ this season?

Rob Kardashian Rocks Dancing with the Stars Finals

He’s the Kardashian the competition is having trouble keeping up with.

Rob Kardashian saved his best moves for last on Dancing with the Stars, getting a perfect 30-point score at Monday night’s finals and emerging as the unlikely frontrunner going into an anything-goes decision show Tuesday.

With sister Kim Kardashian cheering him on in the ballroom, Rob first delivered a classy waltz for 27 points, then electrified the audience with a daring freestyle that had him lifting and twirling partner Cheryl Burke above his head.

“Brilliant!” gushed Bruno Tonioli after the freestyle dance.

“You’ve just given your all,” added Len Goodman. “Your family should be proud.”

MORE DANCING WITH THE STARS PICS

It was not the only performance of the night to get a perfect score. J.R. Martinez shook off an injured right ankle – and a weak opening dance – to give a harrowing hip hop-inspired dance in which he tossed around his scantily clad partner Karina Smirnoff.

“I’m glad you’re safe,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who like the other judges awarded the pair a 10 for the daring routine.

Goodman added, “Two things were revealed: Karina’s body and your talent.”

The dance marked a much-needed reversal of fortune for Martinez, who earlier in the night gave one of his worst performances of the competition with a 24-point cha cha.

Ricki Lake, meanwhile, dazzled with a 27-point freestyle in which she was helicoptered off the dance floor by partner Derek Hough. This followed a cha cha that also earned 27 points.

Said Tonioli: “You’ve never been hotter, you’ve never been sexier.”

Chaz Bono eliminated from Dancing With the Stars

Chaz Bono was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. Judge Bruno Tonioli told Bono that he looked like a “cute little penguin” on Monday.  “I harbor no ill-will toward the show, I was quite angry last night but I feel really good,” Bono told reporters on Tuesday. His tango, which he performed with partner Lacey Schwimmer in coat and tails, earned 19 out of 30 possible points on Monday and generated the cutting comments from Tonioli, who had previously compared Bono to an “Ewok.” I’m grateful for Lacey and for everybody that I worked with on Dancing with the Stars. It was a wonderful, life changing experience. I’m so glad I did it.”

The new found dancer has taken on a new love of sorts…the cha cha. Yes, the child of Sonny and Cher  basked in cheers from the audience and warm remarks from the judges.

“Chazzy Boy, you can dance!” said Carrie Ann Inaba.

Len Goodman responded with a “Razzamataz Chaz” and praised his footwork, while Bruno Tonioli said, “So cuddly and cute. Great, great debut, Chaz. You should be proud” as Bono and pro partner Lacey Schwimmer finished with respectable 17 points.

Way to go Chaz, we are cheering for you!
