It’s a very sad day in the world of country music, singer Mindy McCready has died. According to a police report from the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas, deputies responded to a report of gun shots fired on Sunday afternoon. Upon arriving, officers reportedly found Mindy McCready’s body on the front porch and pronounced her dead at the scene from what appeared to be “a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
McCready’s body will undergo an autopsy as the matter is being fully investigated, the report continues.
McCready had attempted suicide before, having been hospitalized in 2008 after she cut her wrists and took several pills. Her passing follows the shooting death of boyfriend David Wilson on January 13.
Wilson, a record producer, was initially rushed to the hospital after suffering a reported self-inflicted gunshot wound that did not immediately kill him. McCready recalled how she discovered him after the shooting in an interview on NBC’s Today. “I just started screaming, calling 911. I laid down next to him and just pleaded with him not to die.” The singer said Wilson “was responding” after the shooting, but only making sounds, not words. McCready was admitted to an in-patient facility weeks later.
After she was admitted, a rep for the star gave ET this statement: “While taking appropriate, much needed and deserved time to grieve, [McCready's] sons have been placed in foster homes where they are comfortable and cared for. We have no further statement at this time.”
In 2011, McCready was reported to have gone missing with her oldest child, who was under the custody of McCready’s mother at the time. During the episode, McCready posted a Facebook message, writing, “FB Friends I know it has been a long time since you have heard from me… I have been fighting the Florida court system to protect my son, and bring him home. Wink TV has once again reported nothing but lies and they are most likely being supported by the attorney for DCF child services. There is NO AMBER ALERT and my son is not missing! Detectives from the Cape Coral Police department established that this afternoon via Skype. Please do not worry or support anything they continue to lie about!! Thanks Always…. Mindy”
McCready is survived by her two sons: 6-year-old Zander (fathered by ex Billy McKnight) and 9-month-old Zayne (who she had with now-deceased boyfriend David Wilson).
No — you are never…ever…ever..ever dating my son
“No. No … Just back off,” he told Vulture.com at a book party Wednesday night. “I don’t keep up with it all, but Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?
“What a way to build a career.” Fox warned Swift to stay away from his 23-year-old son, Sam Michael.

The 51-year-old actor was spouting fun hosts Tina Fey and Amy Peohler during Sunday’s Golden Globes.
Here are some highlights from the show and complete winner’s list!
Best Show Open: Welcome to the ACAs, and say hello to the handsome and talented Luke Bryan (and his charming smile and swaying hips). Do we really have to say it? Swoon.
Size Really Does Matter: The massive difference in height between Chenoweth and Adkins proved to be an entertaining factor. Especially when the duo walked out with Trace carrying his cohost in a pink baby sling. Yup, that happened.
Coolest Award: Each winner got a guitar! Yes, a guitar.
Flirt Machine: OK, Kristin Chenoweth, we see you. The li’l lady was flirtin’ up a storm with any single guy in the audience. Hey, she told us, she’s single and loving it (despite thoseJake Pavelka dating rumors).
Worst Assumption: Guessing who would snag the New Artist of the Year award reminded us you should never assume. Unless your guess is Lauren Alaina. The newbie andAmerican Idol runner-up beat out Miranda Lambert‘s group, Pistol Annies and cutieHunter Hayes.
Collabo of the Night: Adkins took the stage alongside Southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd!
Best Outfit: Chenoweth had about a million wardrobe changes throughout the night, but herHoney Boo Boo getup (and impersonation) was the best by far.
Worst Let Down: Unfortunately, Carrie Underwood didn’t give Rodney Carrington the big smooch he was expecting when he presented her with the Female Artist of the Year award, just a peck on the cheek. So much for those flowers and chocolates.
Random Appearance: Why, hello Carmen Electra. Didn’t think we’d see you presenting here, but OK. And it’s ACAs, not “ACEs,” but that’s OK, too.
It’s Magic! Although Miranda Lambert would have won Single of the Year by a Female Artist, regardless, it was still cool to see Penn & Teller announce her win through a magic trick.
Best (Almost) Spill: Chenoweth was able to (kinda) play off almost falling on stage (a couple times) while performing “What Would Dolly Do.” She was just too excited.
New Friends: American Idol judge Keith Urban invited young musicians from his Grammy Camp to perform with him onstage, which was both sweet and entertaining.
Holiday Spirit: The show left us with Lady Antebellum singing one of their Christmas jingles, Trace Adkins in an elf costume and Kristin Chenoweth looking like a “holiday hooker.” Gotta love this time of year.

Nearly three weeks after Randy Travis was arrested for drunk driving, a truck owned by the country singer was found wrecked and abandoned in a field in Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
A pickup truck was found wrecked and abandoned behind a Walmart store near Dallas, but the singer’s attorney says, “He hasn’t been in that truck or seen that truck in about three months.” In an interview with The Dallas Morning News, Larry Friedman said an employee on Travis’ ranch had been using the truck and that the singer will determine the circumstances that led to the vehicle being abandoned in a field in Frisco, Texas.
The truck was on its side with a dented roof and shattered windshield. No charges have been filed in connection with the truck, but it follows three high-profile incidents Travis has been involved with this year. Police said Saturday night that they are investigating the circumstances leading to how the Chevrolet ended up on its side in a field. The vehicle was also found with a shattered window, dented roof and broken taillight.
In February, he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of public intoxication after he was found with an open bottle of wine outside a Baptist church in Sanger, Texas. Earlier this month, he was arrested for alleged drunk driving and threatening law enforcement officers after wrecking his car in a construction area near his ranch. On Thursday (Aug. 23), he was issued a citation for simple assault following an altercation with a man on the parking lot of another Baptist church in Plano, Texas.
Multi-platinum superstar Taylor Swift is releasing her fourth studio album called “Red” on Oct. 22.
She announced the upcoming worldwide release during a live web chat from Nashville, Tenn., on Monday before a living room full of fans. She said she named it “Red” because of all the different emotions she explores on the album.
“They’re all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years,” she said of the album, which was two years in the making.
“All those emotions spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that, in my mind all those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings,” she added.

The album will have 16 songs, including the title track. It also features collaborations with other artists, producers and songwriters, unlike 2010″s “Speak Now” album written entirely on her own.
Swift confirmed that there is a duet with British singer Ed Sheeran on the album and revealed that they wrote it while sitting on a trampoline.
Wearing a red and white striped dress, red earrings and red lipstick, the Grammy-winning singer took questions from the live audience and online. Fans joined in from places such as New York, Alabama, Ohio, Sweden, Brazil and England, and Montreal, Canada.
Swift played the first single from the album during the web chat. It’s called “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” She sarcastically described it as “really touching and sensitive,” saying “it’s a really romantic song that’s to my lovely ex-boyfriend.” As the tune played over a speaker, she chair-danced and mouthed the words along with her fans. The song is available now at iTunes and can be downloaded at all digital outlets starting Tuesday.
Swift says she has spent the past few months working on a follow-up to her incredibly successful “Speak Now World Tour” that sold out stadiums and arenas in 19 countries. She plans to release those details at a later date.
Her last album, “Speak Now,” sold more than 1 million copies in its first week out. She has sold more than 22 million albums and 50 million singles throughout her career. Swift is known for hits including “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story.”
