Miley Cyrus Sounds Off on Hair Comparisons to Pink

Die hard “PINK” fan – follow me on Facebook & Twitter  for all your Miley Cyrus updates

What’s the old adage? Imitation is the greatest form of flattery? Well former Hanna Montana star, Miley Cyrus definitely does not think so.

And just so you know….

That is lil miss Cyrus  in the pic below next to Pink— not two pics of PINK, one in her early twenties and the other age advanced to say about ….33 years old.

Not that you know both pics are… PINK cause I sure didn’t— but Miley seems to think that’s what we think. Does that make sense?

Ok, well it’s kind of weird, I know — but bare with me as I attempt to break this down!

The young starlet, who recently chopped off all her hair, looked pretty much identical to the older pop star…?

If we had to choose which were all things ‘fierce fierce’ from flicks below, we’d have to go for Pink , because her hair well…it’s a little more mature – to say the least.

The pop starlet took to Twitter after the MTV Video Music Awards to sound off on people noting that Miley and Pink had almost the exact same spiky blond Mohawk.

Lady Gaga, who knows a little something about copying an older singer’s style, tweeted her support for the country/pop singer: “@mileycyrus u out-dressed+styled everyone last night. If anyone gives you s**t about that haircut pay no mind. u look like Brigitte Nielson.” But she alsotweeted: some accessory advice: “although I did not think you needed those earrings. SHOW THAT FAB NECK.”

And Miley complained about the attention the matching hairstyles got by tweeting: ”Woah 2 girls have blonde short hair! The whole world should go in to panic mode. Redickkkk”

So, who rocked the Mohawk harder tonight? Sound off in the comments!

The iconic beauty brand made the news public Monday along with the fact that the “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” singer just finished her first print advertising campaign for CG, which will debut sometime this fall. The Grammy winner will be the face of a “bold new mascara innovation” and will debut many more “surprising new beauty looks on her lashes, lips and everything in between,” in the coming months, according to a CoverGirl press release.

“I grew up with CoverGirl — who didn’t? No matter how aggressive or strong we are, we all want to feel beautiful,” Pink said of joining the CoverGirl family, before shedding some light on her current makeup routine. “For tour, my makeup is colorful. It’s always got to be smoky, sexy, and then [I have a] ‘no makeup’ makeup look, which is actually harder than all of them. It just depends on your mood or the color of your tube socks.”

The songbird said she couldn’t be happier to be joining such an iconic, inspirational group of women.

“Joining a group of women who have always inspired me —to laugh out loud, let my guard down, or play around with my beauty look — is such an honor,” Pink said in the press release. The current roster of CoverGirls includes Sofia Vergara, Queen Latifah, Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift and Team USA Olympic athletes Jennifer Kessy and Marlen Esparza.

“Pink is a powerful and provocative role model, who has always been an advocate of individualism and making no apologies for who you are,” said Esi Eggleston Bracey, VP and general manager of CoverGirl Cosmetics. “That combination of irreverence and integrity is exactly what the CoverGirl brand loves about her and identifies with. We have admired Pink’s art and her attitude for years! We love the energy and confidence that she radiates, and the fact that inside and out she’s as cool as she looks. She’s an awesome addition to our CoverGirl family.”
