In the week of break ups, divorces, publicity stunts and retractions actress Melissa Gilbert is next up in our celebrity hot mess section. The child star has filed for divorce from her husband of 16 years, fellow actor Bruce Boxleitner.
The former “Little House on the Prairie” actress filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on August 22, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The date of separation was listed as Januaryb5, 2011.
Melissa has asked for joint legal and physical custody of their son, Michael Boxleitner, who is almost 16.
