Finally Comedian Katt Williams has a little bit of good news, if you can call unsupervised probation for 3 years, good news that is.
In December the funny man was arrested for evading arrest [straight face & shruggs] while leading police on motorbike chase in California. Police said the comedian was spotted driving a three-wheeled Can-Am motorcycle on a sidewalk near the state capitol building in Sacramento which initiated the 35 mile per hour chase. Reportedly, a ways into the chase Williams took off his helmet and told the cops, “I’m not going to stop”; the chase was called off after police decided it was too dangerous to continue.
Well on Thursday (4-25-2013) the comedian avoided jail time and was sentenced to 90 days of community service along with the probation.
The original sentence was 180 days in county jail, according to the Sacramento Bee, but the judge converted it to the community service stretch with the other 90 days stayed if he does the work and stays out of trouble.
The charge was originally a felony vehicle code violation.
