Earvin “E.J.” Johnson III, son of Los Angeles Lakers icon Magic Johnson made headlines on Tuesday after stepping out in Hollywood with an unidentified man.

TMZ was the first to break the story obtaining a brief interview with the basketball legends first born. See clip below.

During the interview, the reporter made small talk — asking the younger Johnson about the new Dodgers season and the Lakers’ playoff chances. They did not actually confirm the “legitimacy” of the “relationship in the video.”
Later in the day Magic Johnson made a statement to the outlet:
“Cookie and I love E.J. and support him in every way. We’re very proud of him.”
The 20-year-old is a student at New York University and from what we were able to gather his sexuality has never been reported on, until today.
