Alec Baldwin has apologized after he used homophobic slurs to violently threaten a British reporter who said his wife Hilaria Thomas had tweeted about wedding presents and TV appearances during James Gandolfini’s funeral on Thursday.
“If put my foot up your f**king ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much,” one tweet read.
“I’m gonna find you George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f**k you… up,” he added.
Baldwin denied Thomas had tweeted during the funeral, and said the tweets were instead made after the New York City service: “My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now, f**k this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth.”
The 55-year-old actor’s Twitter account was disabled following the rant.
Baldwin wrote the following to GLAAD:
“My ill-advised attack on George Stark…had absolutely nothing to do with issues of anyone’s sexual orientation. My anger was directed at Mr. Stark for blatantly lying and disseminating libelous information about my wife and her conduct at our friend’s funeral service. As someone who fights against homophobia, I apologize.
A rep for Baldwin stated that Thomas did not tweet during the service.”It’s disgraceful that a reporter would manufacture and publish a story and not call for comment or explanation — especially when it’s intended to take away attention from honoring the memory of a beloved figure like James Gandolfini,” the rep stated. “There are multiple witnesses to the fact that Hilaria left her phone in the car and wouldn’t, couldn’t, and didn’t tweet during the service.”

‘To Rome with Love’ boasts a star-studded cast that includes actors Alec Baldwin (l.) and Jesse Eisenberg (r.), among others.(Philippe Antonello/Sony Pictures Classics/AP) Woody Allen has been globe-hopping for a while now; and in “To Rome with Love,” he’s alighted upon the Eternal City – with…
When the flight attendant says put those electronic devices in the off position, they’re not fooling around.
Just ask Alec Baldwin, whose dismissal from an American Airlines flight for apparently playing a mobile game was documented in real time on Twitter.
“Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving,” the 30 Rock actor, 53, Tweeted on Tuesday.
Another passenger, Michael J. Wolf, the founder of the technology firm Activate, Tweeted: “On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane. We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait.”
Baldwin then Tweeted a few hours later that his next flight had “smarter”-looking flight attendants.
His rep explains: “Alec was asked to leave the flight for playing Words with Friends while parked the gate. He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”
Alec Baldwin has long mused about running for political office, but some of his recent Tweets have stoked more speculation than ever.
Earlier this week, Baldwin wrote that it’s still “a long way till November of 2013″ and then posted a link to the iconic song “New York, New York.”
Interestingly, Baldwin just wrote an essay for The Huffington Post that was sympathetic to the plight of embattled U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner.
Weiner represents Brooklyn and Queens in the U.S. House, but has openly coveted the NYC mayoral post and was all but certain to run in 2013.
His rampant crotch-shot texting likely slammed the door on that lifelong political aspiration – but did it open one for Alec Baldwin in the process?

Quack jobs..I’m just saying —-
In a recent editorial for The Huffington Post, based on his own experiences with executives in the movie and TV business, Baldwin addresses the troubled actor and says: “You can’t win. Really. You can’t.”
“No actor is greater than the show itself when the show is a hit. And, in that regard, [executives] are often right. Add to that the fact that the actor who is torturing their diseased egos is a drug-addled, porn star-squiring, near-Joycean Internet ranter, and they really want you to go.”
