Alaska Fashion Week is pleased to announce the AFW Alaska Fashion Week 2014 schedule, which includes an all-star lineup of high profile shows and celebrity hosted events from May 29-June 1st.
(EOTM Media Group) March 27, 2014 – This season AFW will again position itself as a leading contender of Fashion Week by hosting a selection of high-profile fashion shows and see-and-be-seen mixers. The chic extravaganza will be presented at the beautiful 5 star Sheraton Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska and the official meet and greet will be held at the same location — on the 15th floor overlooking some of the world’s most beautiful glacier scenery.

We can continue to focus on innovative, high energy entertainment for the tested and true lovers of all things fashion. Our goal each and every year is to be a highlight of Fashion Week,” states Founder and Executive Producer, Dominick Liriano.

E’lione Designs, Indashio, Leontine Abdullah, Mimi BewareSwim Pericles, Purple Thoughts, Blakemore Designs, Boss Boutique, nigel Who?, Courtney Allegra, Parris Harris, Beso Moda and Love Light. (Others to be announced)

About Alaska Fashion Week:
The idea of creating AFW was in the mind of the founders as they would say, “for awhile.” In 2012, after a crucial article from the Travel Leisure Magazine, calling Alaska the worst dressed in United States” the group decided to work on AFW to change that statement. Â Their first year was in 2013 and now AFW is quickly becoming a fashion event to be reckoned with.
About Dominick Liriano:
The spearhead behind AFW, Dominick was born in the Dominican Republic, and has been an Alaskan resident since 1993. He has been in the fashion business since 2008. During the course of his passion for fashion, Liriano has participated in many fund-raising fashion shows in Alaska and around the world.
About Jean Rojas:
Rojas was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic he has a background in Business Administration as well as Retail Management. Ever the diligent worker; he has honed his Marketing and Public Relation Skills in different fields of the Entertainment Industry such as photography and as an artists manager. Most recently Jean became a vital part of the Alaska Fashion Week when he was invited to become a partner at RZ Promotions and management in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr Rojas is also the President of True Alaska Designs; a new endeavor that creates quality, stylish shirts that promote some of the great things that the great state of Alaska has to offer.
Rojas friends describe him as ‘dedicated’, a ‘hard worker’. He tends to put others before himself and takes care of those closest to him. Perseverance, attention to detail and kindness will take him a long way as he works to bring fashion to another Northern state.
About Richard Zacharakis:
Zacharakis is the founder and CEO of RZ Promotions and Marketing Director of Alaska Fashion Week in Anchorage, Alaska. He is from New York City moving to Anchorage in 2008, continuing to pursue his dreams of creating his own marketing and promotions company which launched in 2009. Zacharakis promotes and markets big events such as the ‘Mod Factory Fashion Show,’ which took place at the Dena’ina Center in April 2012 as well as ‘The Alaska Talent Competition,’ which took place on April 6th, 2013. Promoting is his passion and the savvy entrepreneur has gained experience by working alongside others in the promotions industry. He is self motivated and constantly challenging himself to make his business a bigger success. Currently he is working with the Alaska Fashion Week Board Members with the preparation of Alaska Fashion Week 2014. When he is not working he likes to read and cook at home. He Attended the University of Mariano Galvez in Guatemala City, Guatemala in 2004.
