Three years after Pop icon Michael Jackson’s death, his older daughter Paris Jackson is ready to start a career in the movie industry.
In a recent interview with Glamour magazine the 14 year old spoke about her upcoming film Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys and got very candid about what it’s like to be the daughter of the late King of Pop, as well as the family drama surrounding her decision to get into the movie biz.
”A lot of people don’t want me to do it but Aunt La Toya believes in me. She heard me play a little guitar and sing, and she started clapping, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’ She really does encourage me; it’s just awesome of her.”
Her aunt Janet Jackson just recently went on record to say, “Paris has the rest of her adult life to be that actress that she wants to be. Your childhood, you completely lose.”
It would appear Paris isn’t giving Auntie Janet any consideration….on this.
Paris also wants to be out of the shadow of her famous father saying, “I love my dad, and I’m proud to be his daughter. I just don’t think the title ‘M.J.’s daughter’ fits me,” she says bluntly. “A lot of people think he’s the only reason I’m making it, but I want to show that I do have talent and that I can make it if I try. I want to be my own person.”
