Stevie Wonder has been separated from his wife Kai Millard Morris for almost three years, and now the legendary singer is ready to officially call it quits.
According to TMZ, who obtained the divorce documents, Wonder cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
The two were married in 2001 and have two boys, aged 7 and 10. The singer is seeking joint custody in the papers filed by lawyer Laura Wasser.
The music legend agrees to pay both spousal and child support to his soon-to-be ex-wife. However, the amount has yet to be released as Wonder did make a lot of his money before he married her. It’s expected that some of their assets will be split.
The New York Daily News reports that the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” singer signed the paperwork with two fingerprints.
Wonder has been married twice and has seven children.
