Jessica Simpson has confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child, in a statement posted on her official website.

“It’s True! I am going to be a “mummy!” the singer wrote, alongside a photo of her dressed in a mummy costume for Halloween.
Simpson, 31, is currently engaged to former professional football player Eric Johnson, 32, whom she has been dating since May 2010. This will be the first child for the couple.

10 weeks of “staged” marriage bliss ends in divorce and a hefty payout for the two.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,” she said in a statement. “I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don’t work out as planned.”
All this just 10 weeks after their lavish, made-for-TV wedding.
Kris Humphries told TMZ he was “blindsided” to learn his bride had filed for divorce and is “willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
Kardashian and Humphries were wed Aug. 20 in a star-studded, black-tie ceremony at an exclusive estate in the seaside enclave of Montecito, Calif. The couple’s wedding registry at a Beverly Hills jeweler totaled $172,000.
Well, I don’t know but it looks like this was a business arrangement made in heaven. The couple made a whopping 18 million off their wedding and almost $200k in wedding gifts, not bad!

Marie Osmond was taken to a Las Vegas hospital on Wednesday night following a performance with her younger brother Donny.
According to reports the singer’s voice began to sound hoarse during the concert. After finishing her performance she was rushed to the hospital to be checked out.
A rep for the singer told Reuters that she was diagnosed with bronchitis after undergoing tests.
On Thursday, the 52-year-old tweeted, “So the allergies went into a bronchitis. Didn’t realize it until I went to hit the high notes last night on stage.”

Michael Lohan was arrested for the second time this week breaking daughter, Lindsay Lohan’s record, (2x’s in 1 day). The Celebrity Rehab star is evidently experiencing a very rough patch after breaking up with ex girlfriend, Kate Major . Lohan was arrested last night after being released on bail for domestic violence just 12 hours earlier. According to police reports he called Major while police happened to be interviewing her at her home. Law enforcement believed Lohan was a “threat” to Major, so they visited the hotel where he’d been staying in Tampa to arrest him for violating the terms of his pretrial release. According to TMZ.com he was taken into custody for resisting arrest and was injured after attempting to flee the hotel by jumping off the third floor balcony.
Lohan fell into a tree and decided to sit there and make that his hiding place. He was eventually captured and taken to a Florida hospital for a foot injury.
Police officials confirmed drugs and alcohol were involved.
Major later tweeted about the ordeal, writing “I literally feeling like i am living in a nightmare.I’ve learned so much about who is there and who is not. ONLY TRUST URSELF.”

The president is attempting to remake the student loan industry. On Wednesday he announced a student loan forgiveness program that would make taxpayers absorb the financial risk.
The executive order will reduce monthly student-loan payments, consolidate loans into direct loans, and offer loan forgiveness after 20 years. It would also cap monthly repayment at 10 percent of discretionary income and offer students an incentive for consolidating Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL) and direct loans into the direct-loan program. Students will be given a 0.5 percent interest-rate reduction for switching to the direct-loan program.
“Our economy needs it right now,” Obama said when introducing the proposal. “And your future could use a boost right now.”
This proposed program would go into effect in 2012, two years sooner than the original plan.
While many students are excited about the proposal, some believe that others would abuse the program, refusing to pay off loans simply because they will at some point, be forgiven.

An official cause of death has finally been revealed for Amy Winehouse.
British coroner Suzanne Greenway announced today that the 27-year-old suffered a “death by misadventure” on July 23, and that her passing was an “unintended consequence” of accidental alcohol poisoning.
An initial autopsy taken in the wake of the singer’s death was inconclusive, though no drugs were found in her system at the time. But according to both Greenway and pathologist Suhail Baithun, plenty of alcohol, sadly, was.

Chaz Bono was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. Judge Bruno Tonioli told Bono that he looked like a “cute little penguin” on Monday. “I harbor no ill-will toward the show, I was quite angry last night but I feel really good,” Bono told reporters on Tuesday. His tango, which he performed with partner Lacey Schwimmer in coat and tails, earned 19 out of 30 possible points on Monday and generated the cutting comments from Tonioli, who had previously compared Bono to an “Ewok.” I’m grateful for Lacey and for everybody that I worked with on Dancing with the Stars. It was a wonderful, life changing experience. I’m so glad I did it.”

It appears Lindsay Lohan has found time to work as an actress in Hollywood again, the on again off again battled actress will be posing in Playboy Magazine…. well that’s if you believe the rumor mill.
According to THR a Playboy mag rep shared, “We don’t comment on speculation of who may or may not be posing for Playboy.”

However word in Hollyweird is, she will be appearing on the cover and in the pages of Playboy magazine and TMZ confirms she will be paid close to 1 million dollars.
TMZ.com also reports that the magazine originally offered Lohan $750,000 to strip, but they negotiated closer to the seven-figure range.
Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, has not responded to requests for comment, but told E! News that he could neither confirm nor deny the reports.
